MHM launches exciting new Triumph models to the Western Cape market.

Mike Hopkins Motorcycles (MHM), South Africa’s top Triumph dealer in 2015, revealed Triumph’s new Bonneville Range and the new Tiger 1200 Explorer at a launch held at The Clubhouse, Killarney Racetrack, on Saturday, 7th of May 2016.

The Bonneville Range, designed with timeless style and iconic character in mind, has just introduced three new motorcycles to the market. The Triumph Street Twin 900cc offers modern classic motorcycle fans the perks of modernity while maintaining a classic silhouette. It is the ultimate all-rounder, daily ride, featuring high quality finishes and intricate design details. The Triumph Bonneville T120 offers 1200ccs of ageless detail, innovative rider-focused technology, and the utmost in control, safety and character. The third bike in the Bonneville range is the Triumph Thruxton R, inspired by Triumph’s racing success, and reviving its rich café racer heritage. The 1200cc Thruxton gives nothing less than superior power, quality handling and striking styling.

For those with adventure in their veins, the Triumph 1200 Explorer is now a top contender in this category. Designed specifically for the purpose of taking its rider anywhere, no matter the terrain, from road, to trail, highway or byway. This transcontinental motorcycle is built for exploration. The Explorer exudes style, features the latest suspension and riding modes technology, and offers superb handling and control.

“These motorcycles are the epitome of old-school style and class, combining modern-day creature comforts to offer riders the best of both worlds,” says Andrew Thompson, owner of Mike Hopkins Motorcycles. “We are excited to launch these beautifully crafted, powerful machines to the market!”

MHM unveiled the sensational new bikes to several hundred Triumph fans at the highly anticipated launch on the weekend. In addition to live music, a fully-stocked pop-up store which offered launch-day discounts on jackets, helmets and other gear; and numerous spot prizes that were handed out at the event, there was also a Classic Bike Display and Competition at the event which drew in a variety of unique and spectacularly maintained classics.

“We were blown away by the support of the Triumph fans.” concludes Thompson. “Their passion for the brand is evident and we are ecstatic to bring such a strong and competitive offering to the market.”
